During our kindergarten graduation Thursday, Mrs. Ashley Roberts was announced as Arp ISD's 2024-25 KTBB 97.5FM Teacher of the Year.
As Mrs. Beth Hines stated, "She's a blend of sunshine, and structure. Her students adore her, and her team knows they can count on her to bring positivity, and dance moves😃."
In her third year at Arp ISD teaching kindergarten, and ninth year teaching altogether, Mrs. Roberts said, "It is an absolute honor to be recognized." She explained, "The joy of witnessing my students' intellectual, and social emotional growth, and the transformative power of education is the driving force behind my work."

Many of our 67 graduation candidates walking the same hallways that they walked 12 years ago as kindergartners.
Graduation is Thursday May 22 at 7:00pm at Arp H.S.'s Clark Wayne Roberts Auditorium.

If you paid for your students' 2024-25 dual credit classes, tuition reimbursement forms are due this Friday May 16. No late submissions will be accepted. Students can pick the forms on the table outside Mrs. Julie Allen's office.

Pre-K & Kindergarten roundup & registration began Monday May 12 for the 2025-26 school year at Arp Elementary. Please help us spread the word if you know anyone that may have a 3-5 year old they may be looking to enroll in school for the fall.
Needed for registration are the child's social security card, birth certificate, and shot records as well as parent/guardian's proof of residency (water or electric bill), taxes (for Pre-K registration), and photo I.D.
While registration will continue through the next two weeks, it is strongly encouraged to come take care of it as soon as possible especially for Pre-K where space is limited.

All students that improved on their MAP testing since the middle of the school year got to enjoy a growth foam party Friday.
What was even better is that the folks from The ETX Party People were super impressed with how well behaved our students are, plus the great job they did following directions, and enjoying themselves safely. They also told our principal that our school has, "Hands down the best teacher participation & attitudes of any school they have visited." And they visit tons of schools all over the area.👏👏👏

With the safety of our students & staff as our top priority, we have returned to normal instruction after sheltering our students in safe interior classrooms in their respective campus buildings as severe storms passed Tuesday.
Should the situation arise, we will make the necessary adjustments and take any needed precautions based on our district weather emergency protocols.
An ambulance was called to Arp Elementary Tuesday morning to check on a staff member that was dealing with a medical situation. All students are fine. None are in any sort of need of emergency care.
Let's pray that everything turns out okay with our staff member.

Wednesday Apr. 30 is the last day you can purchase "MEAL TICKETS🎟️" for the Arp H.S. athletic banquet on Tuesday May 6. Student-athletes & coaches will already be provided with a meal ticket. But parents & any other guests wishing to eat must buy a $10 meal ticket. The dinner portion of the banquet begins at 6:00pm at the Arp H.S. L.J. Johnson Commons. The awards ceremony starts at 7:00pm in Clark Wayne Roberts Auditorium, and it is free and open to anyone wishing to attend.
You can buy your dinner tickets at the Arp H.S. office during school hours. The meal is catered by Chelitas, the restaurant in Arp.

3 🐅🎣 boats🚤 STATE BOUND: Woo Hoo! Our anglers placed 3rd as a team out of 61 schools at the regional tournament at Lake Palestine Saturday.
3rd place🥉: Bryce Everett/Will Sanford - 19.32 lbs. (state qualifier)
These two young men who have excelled all year long, went into the last 40 minutes of fishing with only 6 lbs. caught for the day. But the two of them rallied & reeled in 13 more pounds of fish to get within 3/4 of a pound of the regional title.
31st place: Zane Bourque/Casen Burgins - 12.02 lbs. (state qualifier)
63rd place: Hudson Orpineda/Heidi Bryand - 9.04 lbs. (state qualifier)
112th place: David Domm/Madelyne Eaton - 5.8 lbs.
134th place: Case Arrington/Thatcher Merritt - 4.14 lbs.
141st place: Sarah Maynard/AB Martin - 3.64 lbs.
These individual results are out of 212 total boats that competed.
The Texas High School BASS Association state tournament is at Lake Conroe May 31-June 1. Big congrats to our 6 boats the qualified to regional & competed Saturday.
