SOFTBALL GETS GOING: The Arp High School Lady Tigers softball team, traveled to Mineola Monday for its first scrimmage of 2022. Both teams are extremely young and made for a competitive tune up. The Lady Tigers got on board early in the first with two runs as they took advantage of the Yellow Jacket pitcher, who struggled to find her groove. Arp also played pretty good defense when called upon. Freshman pitcher Addison "Red" Carpenter recorded 4 strikeouts and only gave up 5 hits in 4 innings of work. Several Lady Tigers had a good showing at the plate with timely hitting.
Addison Anderson, Ariana Padron, Kayleigh Odom, Abby Carpenter, Eliauna Van Heise, all drove in runs. In all a Good start to the season for the Lady Tigers. Next scrimmage will be at home Saturday February 5 at 2:00pm vs. Martin's Mill. Come out and support these ladies. #TPND #bEASTtexas #txhssb
Arp Sophomores at @LeTourneauUniv: Our Class of 2024 has spent Tuesday touring an excellent institution of higher learning in Longview. Our seniors will head to @tstcmarshall March 25, juniors to @ETBU April 8, & at some point this spring @Arp_JH 8th graders to @SFASU
SENIOR NIGHT CHANGE OF VENUE: @arpbasketball1 hosts Waskom this evening at @Arp_JH's gymnasium.
7 seniors will be honored between the JV & Varsity games at approx. 6:00pm. Please arrive early as seating is considerably limited compared to John Mills Parker Gymnasium. #TPND
