After 35 years as youth pastor & minister at Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church, Brother Tommy Harden, who touched countless lives within Arp ISD celebrated his retirement Sunday. Arp ISD superintendent Shannon Arrington presented him with a heartfelt letter of appreciation (https://5il.co/1h3tk) which symbolizes a very small token for his impact on our students, teachers, staff, and administrators.
3 weekends, 3 runner-up tournament trophies: The @arpladytigers🐅 Varsity🏐 team continues to collect hardware. Saturday, our ladies swept New Diana 25-19, 25-15 in the Gold Bracket semis of the Arp Tournament before falling to Garrison 2 sets to 1 in the finals (25-20, 17-25, 25-12).
After winning just 6 matches last season, Arp is now 17-7 so far this season.
ICYMI: Lady Tigers JV also claimed 2nd Friday in the JV bracket.

They finished as runners up in our @arpladytigers🏐 Tournament. They defeated Pine Tree B 25-16, 25-11, then Troup 26-24, 20-25, 15-5 before falling to Pine Tree A 25-23, 17-25, 11-15 in title match.

The Arp Lady Tigers volleyball team competed in the opening day of the Hughes Springs Volleyball Tournament winning all 3 matches today against Elysian Fields 25-22, 25-13. The second match was with DeKalb winning to match 25-18, 25-21, and the final match of the day was with the Ore City Lady Rebels beating them 25-15, 25-17.
The Lady Tigers will travel to Kilgore to face the Lady Bulldogs starting at 4:30 and Varsity will play first, followed by JV-A, then JV-B.
Saturday morning your Lady Tigers will head back to Hughes Springs for the Gold Bracket Championship round, projected start time is 9:00am. Come out and support the awesome young ladies.
COME OUT & SHOW THAT #TPND: Scrimmage at 6:00pm this evening as our @arp_tiger(s)🐅🏈 team welcomes the Hawkins Hawks for our final tune up before we kick off the 2022 regular season next week.
