What a performance in front of the home crowd.

The Arp High School boys and girls powerlifting teams delighted the #TPND faithful Thursday as they hosted their second annual Arp Invitational meet.

They racked up nearly twenty personal records with the boys coming away with the first place team finish out of nine schools that participated.

For the Iron Tigers, that is their second consecutive tourney title even though the competition included bigger programs such as Tyler Legacy, Chapel Hill, Rusk, and Athens.

The Lady Tigers finished sixth as a team, but did manage three individual third place finishes in those young ladies' respective weight classes to go along with the PR's.

On the boys side, Arp really took care of business with four first place medals, a second spot, and three third positions in individual weight groups.

In addition, senior Thomas Fuller was named most outstanding male lifter in the light platform (114 lbs.-181 lbs.).
