While he won't allow you to give him too much credit for the constant, continuous, and consistent success of the Arp Tiger bands program, its accomplishments speak for themselves.
Chris Cook has spearheaded Arp ISD's band the last 29 years, making it one of the best and most respected in the area.
Therefore, Arp ISD is proud to announce that Mr. Cook is the recipient of the district's "KTBB Radio" November 2022 teacher (employee) of the month award.
It was presented to him by Arp High School principal Mike Miller, and Arp ISD superintendent Shannon Arrington.
His passion for his craft can be felt anytime our bands perform or even practice as his desire make the students the absolute best they can be, oozes through their instruments.
"He creates a music loving culture," said Arrington. "Our kids know music, and he is direct reflection of that." he explained.
