The Arp High School Tiger academic teams performed quite well at the District 16-3A UIL academic contests Wednesday and Thursday at Elysian Fields.

Looking ready to open their own tax preparation service or CPA firm, our accounting team led the way bringing home a district championship, which also sends them to the UIL regional competition on April 23 at Tyler Junior College.

Under the guidance of business teacher Ruth Forester, her group made a clean sweep of the top three individual awards with junior Kyleigh Pawlik finishing first, junior Kayleigh Shuttlesworth second, and senior Isaac Penney third.  Sophomore Fisher Arrington was seventh, and sophomore Joslyn Swinney was the team's alternate.
