Talk about getting the season going with a bang.
The Arp Lady Tigers jumped out to an early 6-2 lead Tuesday and never really looked back.
Arp had its offense in gear as they wound up defeating Highway 64 neighbor Chapel Hill 13-5 at Lady Bulldog Field in both teams' regular season opener.
With ten returning players from last spring, the Lady Tigers are looking to take a step forward in 2022 under second-year head coach Billy Holcomb.
Arp will take part in the Sabine Softball Invitational beginning Thursday, and will play six games in three days against quality competition.
The round robin tournament takes place at the Sabine High School Softball Field just north of Sabine High School in Liberty, City at 5419 Old Hwy 135 N, Gladewater, TX 75647.

Friday Feb. 18:
Arp vs. Athens - 3:10 p.m.
Arp vs. Sabine - 4:30 p.m.

Arp vs. Hawkins - 8:30 a.m.
Arp vs. Quitman - 9:50 a.m.
The Lady Tigers will host their own tournament next week Feb. 25-26 at Falious Arnold Joe Gillispie Sports Complex.
