Big congratulations are in order for the Arp Lady Tiger varsity volleyball team.

Every member of the 2021 squad earned some form All-District 16-3A accolade.

Junior setter Kyia Horton was named to the league's first team after leading the team with 300 assists, while also recording 21 aces.

Freshman outside hitter Maddie Birdsong received second team honors as she proved to be a tremendous addition to the Lady Tigers.  Birdsong led Arp offensively with 111 kills.  She also tied for the team lead in blocks with 28.

In addition, senior outside hitter Kayleigh Odom, senior outside hitter Ashley Lopez, senior defensive specialist Ariana Padron, junior libero Abby Carpenter, and junior defensive specialist Abby Nichols earned all-district honorable mention.

These Lady Tigers are classroom standouts as well.

Senior right side hitter Lexi Ferguson, senior middle blocker Madison Evans, senior outside hitter Trinity Dixon, senior defensive specialist Rhialee Penzinski, senior defensive specialist Madi Shores, along with Carpenter, Padron, Nichols, Lopez, Birdsong, Horton as well as manager Kirstin Millerd were all named to the academic all-district team.

The Arp volleyball teams were coached by head coach Billy Holcomb, and assistants Barry Woodruff, and Angelia Neal.
