Arp senior Haley Bryand sang "America The Beautiful."
The Arp High School band delighted those in attendance with their finely tuned instruments.
Even Arp ISD superintendent Shannon Arrington was on hand.
There was plenty to celebrate in Downtown Arp Wednesday morning as the Arp Garden Club turned 80 years old.
A federally recognized organization, the Garden Club added a Gold Star memorial, and a blue star memorial to the downtown area.
They wrapped up the festivities by dedicating a sun dial to Arp's City Park decorated by rosemary that Garden Club president Connie Davis said, "Survived the (harsh) winter."
Vice President Jackie Calicutt explained how thrilled she is that the Garden Club has been able to continue and remain active all these years.
KETK/FOX 51 was present covering the event. A story will air in their Wednesday evening newscasts.
