AHS Advanced Placement English III American Literature

The following items are required for the 03-04 school year.  These books will be studied in-depth both in and out of class.  It is your responsibility to obtain copies of the books and be prepared for book checks on the first day of each six weeks (SW1).  I encourage you to purchase your own copies for note-taking and testing purposes.  These books may be purchased at Barnes & Noble, the Peapicker, Amazon.com and most other booksellers. I have included approximate prices (not including tax) based upon my own purchases of brand-new paperback editions.  Alternatively, you make check these books out of most any public library or borrow (or buy) them very cheaply from friends.  When considering the expense of these books, please remember that the school will pay your $80 test fee AND that if you earn AP college credit, you may save hundreds of dollars on college tuition, fees and books.
