Computer Screen
 |
Use
Anti-Static Wipes or special screen cleaning tool. DO NOT USE paper towel! Use
one screen wipe per screen, fold and use again, until you are unable to
fold any longer. |
OR
 | Use a non-abrasive window cleaner
but DO NOT spray onto
screen (read
label to see if approved for computer screens). No
spray should be used around a computer, except "canned air". |
 | Use
a soft, lint free, non-static charged
cloth |
 |
You may spray or apply cleaner to towel --- NEVER DIRECTLY TO
SCREEN!! OR Computer OR other electronic equipment. |
 | Wipe from center of screen outward |
 | For best results....keep finger prints off screens |
LCD (flat) SCREENS
 | The best way
to clean a "Flat Screen" is to use a gentle dry, anti-static bush or
cloth. DO NOT PRESS on the LCD screen. Use gentle brush strokes with
a moist towel to remove dust. Start in the center and work your way
to the edges of the screen. |

KEYBOARDS
 | Use Q-tip
(can be dipped in alcohol solution -- BUT MUST be
drip free
before placing on keyboard) to clean in between keys and around crevices.
|
 | DO NOT SPRAY
ANYTHING onto a keyboard. |
 | YOU MAY use
baby wipes OR anti-septic wipes on keys. |
TOWERS
 | Use Q-tip
(can be dipped in alcohol solution -- BUT MUST be
drip free
before placing on tower) to clean crevices, vents, and excess dust
deposits |
 | |
 | Use Lint
Free Dust Cloth to clean dust from around or on top of Electrical
Equipment. You may wish to spray the cloth with a cleaner (approved
for computer use) to dampen it a bit. NEVER directly spray
equipment. |
 |
 |
 | Keep
surfaces and computer area free of dust and lint. When cleaning wipe
gently trying NOT to stir up dust in the air. |
