We have an updated Phone System. Currently all teachers in Jr H and High School
will be able to call out on their own phones. Here are some things you should
know.
(1) ANYONE can dial 911 from their classroom phone. Also, anyone can make outside calls for the purpose of furthering education at Arp ISD. You are to limit your personal calls to your own time and on your own cell phone.
(2) Everyone will need to dial 9 to get an outside line. HOWEVER, there will NOT be a dial tone (this is not your Gramma's phone!). Just punch in the phone number and it will make the call.

All phones have the added feature
of allowing you to plug in a computer (laptop) into the phone base and share
the device simultaneously with a computer.
(4) We provide you with a list of personnel and extensions for the phone system. http://www.arpisd.org/default/District/HS/Phones.htm This will be updated as needed.
(5) Phones should be used instead of "all call" intercom...when requesting students from the classroom
(6) You will need to set up your Phone Mail box again. There is a PHONES folder in your Network share for Secretaries, Princ_Admin, Staff, Teachers, Spec Ed, etc which has the QUICKSTART for your Phone setup. Example: \\maroon\Secretaries\PHONES or \\maroon\teachers\PHONE_QUICKSTART
(7) If you are a secretary and transfer a call to another extension and no one answers, the phone will ring back to you (ring once). You can NOT pick up and it will go to that extension's voice mail automatically OR you can pick up and ask the person if they want the extension's voice mail. You can then transfer them to that person's voice mail.
