Second Six Weeks Project Syllabus

Basic Knowledge & Skills
  1. Student Acquires electronic information in a variety of formats (text, audio, video, & graphics
    Engages in preproduction planning by surveying the site & obtaining necessary permits, release forms, studying & passing the AUP for Arp ISD
    Acquires information from on-line help & other documentation
  2. Student employs a method of evaluating electronic information
  3. Student uses appropriate computer-based productivity tools to create & modify solutions to problems using video editor, sound editor, word processor, database, spreadsheet, telecommunications, draw, paint, and utility programs to develop video productions
  4. Student demonstrate proficiency in 5 production roles (1) Researcher & Interviewer: research, script writing, storyboarding, contracting, interviewing, and scheduling skills (2) Studio manager: lighting techniques, sound techniques, setting, backdrops,  (3) videographer, (4) Computer Graphics: 2-D & 3-D animation effects (5)  Editor 
  5. Student uses technology applications to facilitate evaluation of work, both process & product by developing rubrics for analyzing quality of  each project

Project

The student will research animated .gifs on the WWW, locate a shareware animated gif generator, and create an animated gif with the following criteria: Animated gif Tutors

Must be appropriate for a WWW service project
Must be at least 8 frames
Must be age appropriate and ethical in content.

The student will use the previous skills to create a flash project with the following criteria:
 spelling and grammar
appropriate photos & music
creative motion tweening
