TEKStar is our Curriculum Resource for Arp ISD.  It is the application for writing Lesson Plans & student activities easily with TEKS & TAAS objectives.

In order to use TEKStar a small program must be loaded on your  computer.  This small program is called a "client" and will allow you to automatically log onto the TEKStar server. 

Most of the computers in the district ALREADY have the TEKStar client.  The name of the program is:

4dclient.

If you already have this program on your machine, simply double click and let it open.  

STEPS:

88 Network Neighborhood

88 Library Server

88 CD ROM 10

88 TEKStar Client

Wait while the 4d Client is loaded to your Harddrive.  You will only have to click on a few obvious choices, like "next" & "OK".

You may access the movies by following these steps:

Step 1.  Map the following drive

88 TEKStar

88 TEKStarCD

8 File

8 Map Drive

Select Drive Letter S:

 

Step 2:  Run the TEKStar Program and logon.

8 File

8 Preference

Highlight Tekstar Media Folder (like below)

8 Set

Type in S:\Media_TS\

8 OK

As long as the drive stays Mapped, you will be able to access the media.
