Arp ISD is a founding member of SUPERNet (Schools United to Provide Enhanced Resources Network) Consortium which represents 17 school districts in East Texas. SUPERNet has been the recipient of multi-million dollar T.I.E. and T.A.R.G.E.T. grants over the past 7 years. Arp schools will continue to improve curriculum and assessment utilizing professional development, district resources, and technology. At present, 20 teachers in the Arp district have been creating online lessons for the Arp and the SUPERNet Virtual Schools. These units allow teachers to provide instruction, acceleration and enrichment activities, and track students using standard-based criteria 24-7. This technology and teacher dedication allows the district to continuously improve our children's education using a multitude of new learning strategies and methods with technology. The deployment of ClassServer is inline with "No Child Left Behind" criteria and the Arp District Technology Plan because the platform helps teachers and administrators quickly access and analyze individual student achievement data, enabling individualized and engaged educational experiences for all students. If you would like to know more about the ClassServer and the Virtual School project, contact: joy@arp.sprnet.org for Arp Schools or for the SUPERNet Virtual High School Courses you can contact: Debi Crawford debi.crawford@uthct.edu The SUPERNet Virtual High School project is allowing students to gain high school credit using online content and assessments.
