 Pre-Grant Survey

Arp ISD and Bonham ISD are currently partnering to submit a Connection Technology Immersion Grant. This grant covers a period of two years and requires funding be allocated for Professional Development to improve the ability of teachers, administrators, parents, students, and staff members to successfully implement technology integration into a global environment. Additional funding will allow the districts to provide a full immersion project. This project will provide students and teachers at certain grade levels with wireless devices and access online instructional materials 24/7. Parents will be asked to learn how to support technology tools in the home.

IF THE GRANT IS FUNDED: Parents will be given the opportunity to attend workshops or view DVDs from home. Internet safety issues and grant initiatives will be discussed. The wireless devices (iPads or laptops) will be given to students who are involved in the initiative if the grant is funded.  Students will have access to these devices 24/7. The purpose of supplying the technology tools is to allow students to develop real-world skills: to improve their engagement in teaching and learning and to improve their academic achievement. It is important that we allow parents to have input into this initiative. Please feel free to comment on the following:
