Cyberbullying and Fraud In 2009, the Texas Legislature added 33.07 to the Penal Code which makes it a third degree felony to use the name or persona of another to create a web page or to post messages on social networking sites absent the person's consent and with the intent to harm, defraud, intimidate or threaten another. That law also creates the possibility of a Class A misdemeanor charge where a person sends an email, instant message, or text message, referencing the name, domain address, phone number, or identifying information of another person without consent and with the intent to harm or defraud. WHAT LAPTOPS HATE! It is important to note that Laptops HATE TO BE MOVED! And yet, here we are....moving them all over the place. PLEASE Read about "docking" your read/write hard drive head so that you do not CRASH your hard drive. All about the Lenovo 100e Handbook Your Dell Laptops will have the same issue...so please make sure that you completely shut down your machine before moving it. |

TEACHERS & ADMINISTRATORS:
Each of your laptops will need to be brought to school several times a week and left on during the day so you can get your Antivirus updates and your Windows updates. Please do not plan on just leaving them at home for long periods of time. When you bring them to school log on to them and they will receive the updates they need. |
